Ishtar developed a technology capable of extracting the life force of Daeva and converting it into alternative energy called Surana. Research and development of Surana required the sacrifice of countless Daeva and other lifeforms used as experimental subjects. To facilitate this research, numerous groups of Balaur dedicated themselves to systematically hunting Daeva and other lifeforms, imprisoning them in nearby bases and supplying them to Nahid Brigade Fortress whenever needed.
