AION 2 — March 25, 2026 Update Notes

Major update: Kina system split into two currencies, auto-extract for equipment, cross-faction Abyss matching, 5 stigma slots, charge skill damage buff 20%→40%, new block mechanics, PvP healing reduced 50%, Succession expanded to 20/season — and new stigma skills for all 8 classes.

Kina System Overhaul

Kina is now split into two types: standard Kina and Kina (Bound). Existing Kina is kept as-is.

  • Kina sources: Ode Energy Cube, monster drops, Auction House settlements, direct trade
  • Kina uses: Auction House / World Auction House, direct trade, crafting Kina boxes via Material Transformation
  • Kina (Bound) uses: content that previously accepted Kina — now clearly marked as "Kina (Bound)" or "Kina (Combined)"
  • At "Kina (Combined)" sinks: Kina (Bound) is consumed first, then regular Kina
  • Kina can be stored in character/server storage; Kina (Bound) cannot

New: Auto-Extract Equipment

  • Equipment obtained from drops, Ode Energy Cubes, and Monster Cubes can now be automatically extracted
  • Enable/disable: [Cube] → [Extract] → [Settings]
  • Auto-extract stops if you run out of Kina
  • Option available to exclude items targeted for Supply Missions

Abyss Matching — Cross-Faction

  • Same-faction players can now be matched as enemies in Abyss content
  • Exception: Rift of Spacetime — cross-faction matching does not apply
  • Server re-matching resets Artifacts and Abyss Corridors
  • Buffs "Will to Fight" and "Abyss Calibration" removed
  • Underdog faction's "Base Abyss Corridor" supply discontinued
  • 4 new Hotspots added in Ereshulanta: Sulfur Tree Island, Siel's Wing Archipelago, Garshikan Observatory, Garshikan Fortress
  • Boss / Dimensional Core defense stats significantly increased
  • Maximum entry count increased

Common Class Changes

  • Tenaciousness, Salvation, Barrier Spell: After triggering an invulnerability/immortality effect, cannot be re-applied for 30 seconds
  • Survival Willpower: Status resist mechanism changed — on hit by Stun / Knockdown / Air Bind / Freeze / Fear: +10% status resist for 5s, stacks up to 10 times
  • Revitalization Contract: Same status resist mechanism as above; healing now scales with max HP
  • Charge skills — per-stage damage increase: 20% → 40%
  • Stigma skill slots expanded: up to 5 stigma skills can now be equipped
  • Mastery / Stigma skills can be registered without slot restrictions (except Basic Attack)
  • PvP healing reduced by 50%
  • Summon attacks now apply multi-hit; summon stat double-stacking bug (main god stats) fixed
  • Item level damage correction removed; PvP damage slightly reduced

New: Block Mechanics

  • Perfect Shield Block and Perfect Weapon Block added
  • Perfect Block: low chance to trigger, reduces most of the incoming damage
  • Shield classes on Perfect Block: gain status effect immunity; other classes on weapon block: also gain immunity
  • New PvP stats: Block Penetration and Block

Combat Power Rebalance

  • Increased contribution: Strike, Accuracy, Critical Hit
  • Decreased contribution: Penetration, Mental Strength
  • PvE Evasion stat now contributes to Combat Power

Succession

  • Maximum successful Succession count per season: 6 → 20

Awakening Arena & Hidden Cube

  • Awakening Arena: New item added — Unstable Stigma Shard (Bound)
  • Hidden Cube: Unstable Stigma Shard (Bound) added; Soul Codex (Bound) (Bound) quantity increased

Abyss Directive

  • Items added: Unstable Stigma Shard (Bound), Soul Crystal (Bound)
